Third time lucky...

Well, IF this post publishes successfully it will be the THIRD time I have typed it. I am sure it has probably got better with editing etc, but I could really have done without blogger being such a pain in the @#$ this evening and last night.

Anyway, and so I'm back, from outer space, I just walked in to find you here with that same look upon your face..... (great song!). I have stupid song lyrics running through my head right now. Some really old old songs that reveal my age and probably a lot of other things too! I am known in my family as always having a song for any occasion.

I have been absent for a while (in case anyone has noticed). Life has been incredibly hectic, the internet access has been interrupted by my lovely husband who decided to change the little card thingy that goes into the computer. It was supposed to be better. YEAH RIGHT (to quote a great series of ads!). I think it is now sorted. Perhaps!

These are things I have been up to, thinking about etc:

1. Family. We have had a large family wedding recently and it was great. Discovering tribes one didn't previously know is fantastic. Especially when you get on very well. Bummer that they live on the other side of the world :-(

2. Celebrations. We celebrated the 25th anniversary of arriving in NZ last weekend with a great party my wonderful little s organised and hosted. She is a fab hostess, and went to a lot of trouble. 1980's theme was heaps of fun.

3. Music. I have rediscovered that I love to sing. I always knew it, but since the arrival of 2 small people I have had other priorities. I sang at the wedding - v short notice and v little practise, but loved it, and seemingly so did a lot of other people.

4. Sewing. I have made a special cushion for the newly weds, with personalised pictures from each grandchild appliqued on (will post pics when I get some decent ones). I have started the cot bumper for wee m's cot (not finished though). I have made a few small gifts for friends. I have found a sewing machine I love that is horribly expensive and so is WAY down the priority list! Nothing wrong with my old faithful girl really. Can't justify it but would love to! Have enrolled in another patchwork course next month.

5. Spring. There are two lamblets in the paddock next door. They are too little to be lambs yet! They are delightful to watch galloping about in the grass, bunting each other and their mother. Gives me hope that the real spring is not too far away.

Thats all for now, hopefully this post will make it onto the blog! More soon I promise!
