Lovely weather means creativity outside

We have had some great weather lately - about time! Not a great pic, but I wanted to show SP being industrious outdoors, under the rather sad apple tree, creating a great collage. What did he create I hear you ask yourselves.....a snowman! We don't ever get snow here.....he saw them on TV on an ad for Christmas. I have yet to figure out why advertisers use snowmen in the southern hemisphere to advertise Christmas. WE DON"T HAVE SNOW AT CHRISTMAS! What about a beach scene, or a BBQ, or something more appropriate? Hmmm? Don't get me started into Christmas advertising.

Onto slightly less contentious issues...I am busy creating a patch for a community quilt - very daunting and scary and exciting at the same time (and I was invited to donate a patch!). There are no guidelines other than it has to be 12" square finished size. I have ideas and fabric, just got to start. Got to be soon as it is due 19th November!

Sadly my camera has died. Don't ask. I have to work out whether it is worth claiming on the insurance or not. Boo hoo.
